Viscom set to dazzle in Düsseldorf

With this year’s edition of Viscom set to get underway in Düsseldorf tomorrow (Wednesday), organisers have highlighted a number of key industry trends that will be addressed during the three-day event in Germany

Viscom Düsseldorf 2015 will welcome more than 300 exhibitors from all corners of the industry

Taking place at the Messe Düsseldorf from November 4th to 6th, Viscom will not only welcome visitors from various areas of the industry, but also 307 different companies that will be showcasing their solutions to those in attendance.

Just under 80 of these companies will be exhibiting for the first time, showing off solutions and products from as far afield as China and Hong Kong.

One company expected to draw plenty of attention in Düsseldorf is Iltis & Wiesel (I&W), which develops, manufactures and distributes smart electronic design products that can be personalised and blend in with customers’ everyday lives.

I&W will be showcasing its Smart Display digital signage solution, a changeable display with built-in media player as we; as multi-touch option in sizes 27, 46 and 55-inch that is framed like an oil painting. 

Also in attendance will be Bordeaux Digital PrintInk, and Israeli company that plans to use its appearance at the show to make further in-roads into the German market.

This Special Area at Viscom is a key touch point for branded companies, marketing and product managers, trade marketing managers, agencies, creative workers and designers, industrial and store designers and advertising technicians

Products on display from the company will include all types of ink; ranging from eco-friendly and solvent-based inks to UV and UV-LED-curing inks, in addition to a wide range of liquid laminates and UV-curing coatings for large-format graphic prints, vehicle signage and document finishing.

Visitors keen to gain an insight into new technologies and solutions within the advertising sector are advised to visit the ‘Special Area’ of the show.

Speaking about this area, organisers state: “This Special Area at Viscom is a key touch point for branded companies, marketing and product managers, trade marketing managers, agencies, creative workers and designers, industrial and store designers and advertising technicians. 

“Here innovations and trends for the point of sale, from the world of packaging as well as post-press innovations and material highlights are presented in four segments.”

Another special section of the show comes in the form of the ‘Instore and Object Design Area, where visitors can gain view manufacturers’ latest solutions within the point-of-sale market.

Last year, over 1,000 visitors with brand responsibility attended Viscom—a priceless contact pool for self-employed designers

Fujifilm Europe and Durable Hunke and Jochheim will be joined by the likes of I&W, ComPlott Papier Union, Glacryl Hedel and idée in this section of the show.

Elsewhere, the ‘Technology and Materials’ area of Viscom will see the likes of Antalis and Sappi showcase their latest offerings in the paper and board markets, while other companies in this section will demonstrate solutions and products for packaging printing and post-press.

Also featured at the show will be the ‘Design and Development’ section, where those in attendance can get up and close and personal with the likes of HS design Dieter Hauser and IDL Crack Europe to find out more about sales promotion through appropriate design.

For this year, this section of the show will be extended to include designers’ treff, where those in the creative industry will have the opportunity to network with packaging producers and branded manufacturers on an exclusive area.

Visitors may also be interested in the ‘Products and Applications’ section, where the likes of Letterjazz Print-Studio and Sand Media will show off new solutions.
