Colourgen prepares for battle at SDUK
Colourgen, a specialist distributor of large-format print solutions, is set to go head-to-head with some of the biggest names in the industry at this year’s Sign and Digital UK

Colourgen will showcase a range of Mutoh kit at Sign and Digital UK 2015
The company will use the event to showcase a range of products from Mutoh, which will place both the distributor and the manufacturer in direct competition with heavyweights Mimaki and Roland DG.
Mimaki has already established itself as one of the industry’s most popular choices in this sector with its range of UJF machines, while Roland DG is also regarded as a market front-runner with its Versa LEF system.
The move by Colourgen to take on such major players with the Mutoh range of printers will be seen as a brave decision by many, with Birmingham NEC set to serve as the battle ground for what could be one of the most competitive editions of Sign and Digital UK in the history of the event.

Jeff Biggs, managing director of Colourgen, sets out the distributor’s battle plan: “The last year has been quite successful, particularly in terms of Mutoh systems sales.
“The products launched at Sign & Digital 2014 have done very well and we are looking to achieve similar success with the products being launched at this year's show.”
On show this year will be the Mutoh ValueJet 1638X with new Universal Mild Solvent inks in the new one-litre bags.
In addition Colourgen will showcase the new Mutoh 426UF, an A3+ LED UV printer that has been designed for printing personalised products, labels and gadgets.

Further Mutoh printers on show include the new 24" ValueJet 628 with eco solvent inks and the ValueJet 1624 with new one-litre eco solvent ink bags.
All printers will be supported by Caldera VisualRIP+.
Colourgen will also show the Mutoh ValueCut 600 cutter and the Kala Mistral 1650 laminator.
