The Red Arrows’ bright display cheered up commuters at Victoria Station
The RAF squadron premiered their short tribute film documenting five decades of the airborne acrobats, which was broadcast across Victoria and Waterloo stations on screens provided by JCDeacaux.
Pilots of the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team were present to greet fans at Victoria station, signing posters and posing for photographs, as they showed off a model of the Hawk T2, their most advanced training simulator.
Entertaining the nation with amazing flying displays for 50 years is really something to celebrate and we wanted to do it in style”
Kate Watcham, head of media UK at BAE Systems, the company that built the Hawk T2, says: “Entertaining the nation with amazing flying displays for 50 years is really something to celebrate and we wanted to do it in style. Working with JCDecauxLive to bring our special tribute video to life in London Victoria gave us a great opportunity to bring our message of thanks to the heart of the capital, and really show our appreciation of the British institution that is the Red Arrows."
JCDeacaux provided digital 6-sheets and Transvision screens to reach commuters throughout the station, and an enormous 40 x 3m digital screen at Waterloo station.
