Make it Happen Signage Consultancy has announced it will be continuing to expand its presence around the world following previous initiatives throughout the UK and US.

Following a long career within the signage industry, Michelle Henry has joined Make it Happen as the representative for Australia and New Zealand.

Make it Happen, which offers products and workshops to companies and individuals in the signage industry, has expanded its training workshops and consultancy services over the past seven years to provide unique perspective for different topics and audiences around the world.

Sam Armstrong, former president of the International Sign Association UK (ISA UK) and chief executive officer of Make it Happen, has spearheaded many ways to grow Make it Happen’s reach, largely thanks to the unique proposition of the workshops within the industry.

Speaking of the latest appointment, Armstrong says: “Michelle brings with her a wealth of experience in the Sign and Print industry and is the perfect person to represent Make it Happen in this region.

“I am thrilled to welcome Michelle to the Make it Happen team and excited to work with her in extending the benefits of our training workshops to clients, colleagues, and associates in Australia and New Zealand.”

Henry’s appointment came about after she saw an opportunity to increase knowledge and skills in the print and signage industries in New Zealand and Australia after she moved to New Zealand two years ago.

“I'm thrilled and excited to collaborate with Sam and the Make it Happen team!” says Henry, adding: “Having participated in Sam's courses and having enrolled employees on them, I've experienced first-hand the immense benefits they offer to businesses in our industry.”

Armstrong recently expanded the offering into the US with the help of the International Signage Association (ISA), Glantz, and Indy Imaging, with the first US-based Signage Bootcamps taking place at the ISA International Sign Expo 2023.

Since last year there have been further American-led workshops with Mike Lev from the ISA and Wendy Graves from inSIGNia Wholesale joining the team. The Signage Bootcamp will return to the International Sign Expo on April 9th, with On the Frontline and Illuminated Signage workshops, taking place between April 10th and 12th, 2024.

Workshops for New Zealand and Australia are currently being planned for later this year with potential plans to coincide the workshops with a local trade show.

Henry concludes: “Being a fourth-generation signwriter, I absolutely love this trade and I see this as an opportunity to give back to the industry that has given me so much.”
