Signs 24-7 says the accreditation plays a vital role in the business delivering projects for clients such as Moto, Costa and M&S, as well as demonstrating it is compliant with construction design and management regulations.

Alcumus SafeContractor, which oversees the approval process, is an accreditation scheme that recognises standards in health and safety management amongst contractors.

Emilie Davies, health and safety manager at Signs 24-7, comments: “To hear that we had received the SafeContractor accreditation for the fourth year in a row was fantastic as we’re constantly striving to ensure the company adheres to the highest health and safety standards as possible.

“It also gives peace of mind to our clients who know that when they work with Signs 24-7 they can rely on us to ensure projects are carried out with safety and security at the forefront of everything we do.”

Gemma Archibald, chief operating officer of Alcumus SME, adds: “Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place.

“More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Signs 24-7 has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.

“SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”
