Soyang Europe’s new range of textiles and consumables expands its offerings to new markets

Developed by the company’s Chinese partner, Soyang Europe has released the new items following customer demand and hopes to broaden its offering within the growing sector with the new materials.

Included in the portfolio is the ST-217 Eclipse blockout material available up to 3.2m wide and weighing in at 310gsm. This product has been designed as a backing liner for textile tension frame systems or for backdrop graphics printed with either dye-sublimation or UV print technologies.

Also new is the ST-603 Polarlight - a 100% polyester coated backlit fabric. One side is treated to make it print receptive and the other side is coated with resin to allows users to print UV on the coated side at high resolution.

Soyang Europe’s existing ST-216 Nightstar and ST-601 Starlight textiles have been released in 5m widths, expanding the firm’s offerings into grand-format and retail markets.

Starlight is our go-to backlit textile that works like a dream with UV and latex inks to create impressive lightbox displays

Mark Mashiter, managing director of Soyang Europe comments: “Starlight is our go-to backlit textile that works like a dream with UV and latex inks to create impressive lightbox displays. Now that it is available up to 5m wide, we’re envisaging a positive uptake for grand-format applications and large, seamless backlit displays.”

Following customer demand for finishing products to assist with the finishing of textiles, Soyang Europe has released GreenStrip Keder – a specially formulated, PVC-free keder for textile tension frame applications.

Expanding its consumables portfolio, the firm has released a Transket Boost sublimation transfer paper. The paper is a coated sublimation paper for digital transfer printing with water-based dye sub inks.

“We have a number of substrates available for the sublimation transfer market and the introduction of Transjet transfer paper is extending our portfolio so that our customers can get everything they need under one roof,” says Mashiter.
