The Japanese manufacturer with a European base distributes the new printers through Hybrid Services in the UK. The printer created a real buzz at FESPA this year with firms manufacturing sportswear because of the way Mimaki’s yellow and pink neon inks are ideal for cycling kits, swimsuits, and gymnastics apparel. The Mimaki TS30-1300 is on display at Hybrid Service’s Cheshire showroom and is available for demonstrations.

Hybrid Service’s textile product manager, Brett Platt explains: “The entry level TS30-1300’s arrival offers true wide-format production dye-sublimation at a new and much lower price point. Retailing at just £7,495, it provides everything we’ve come to expect from Mimaki’s high print and build quality for a new audience.

“We now have the option of fluorescent inks for the TS30-1300, and the demonstration unit at our showroom in Cheshire has been commissioned with neon pink and yellow to demonstrate the eye-catching opportunities fluoro inks afford. The extraordinary shades achievable using these inks make them ideal for the production of dancewear and event branding and we’re keen to show this off to potential purchasers.

“The TS30 will also open doors to fashion designers and studios. For sampling purposes, it’s no longer good enough to present a design idea on paper and the TS30 makes it cost effective to show compelling samples or even made up garments on a range of different polyester fabrics.”

Heat sensitive inks are the key ingredient in the dye-sublimation process. The Mimaki dye-sublimation printer can transfer the ink onto a variety of textiles and substrates supplied by Hybrid Services. The company stocks an award-winning range of wide-format solvent, latex, UV curing, textile, and aqueous inkjet printers, flatbed and pinch roll cutting plotters, software solutions, and Mimaki manufactured consumables.

Since its establishment in 1996, Hybrid Services has been one of the main players in the UK in creating solutions for the sign and graphics, industrial, and printed textile markets. The firm has also confirmed it will be at The Print Show in Telford.
