Graphtec expands with second facility

In order to improve its customer services and stockholding capabilities, Graphtec GB has opened a second facility at Wrexham Technology Park. The 2,500sq ft building will serve as an administrative centre and showroom for the plotter manufacturer. Its existing 4,000sq ft building in the nearby Wrexham Industrial Estate will now function as a warehouse and stockholding resource.

Graphtec GB now has a second facility that it will use as an administrative centre and showroom

“Due to this rapid expansion, fuelled by a continually developing customer base and the recent introduction of new products, there was a need to open a second facility which ideally is situated close to what will now be the company’s main supply outlet,” says Graphtec GB’s director, Phil Kneale.

He continues: “The new building will serve as Graphtec GB’s main administrative centre, housing the company’s management, technical, sales and customer relations teams.”

Some of Graphtec GB’s key products include the flagship FC and CE series of roll-fed cutting plotters, the new FCX2000 series of flatbed machines, and the latest i-Mark automatic digital die-cutter. The latter has opened up many new business opportunities in the packaging and product labelling sectors.

Graphtec GB is a preferred distributor in the UK for software provider SAi, and has just introduced its own Graphtec Pro Studio sign-making software program. It is based on the Flexi Sign software from SAi and has been designed for compatibility with the new FCX2000 series of flatbed cutting plotters and the FC8600 roll-fed machines. Later this year, it will be available for the CE6000 cutting plotter series.
