HP and Drytac Spot On with print solution

HP have provided a helping hand to Drytac to develop a graphics solution for their HP Page Wide XL printer series. The end goal was Spot On Syn Paper, which is a 4.8 mil white matte polypropylene film, with a pressure-sensitive polyacrylate adhesive, printed in a dotted pattern on one side.

Despite being created alongside the HP Page Wide XL series, the product can work and produce similar results with aqueous and UV inkjet.

Drytac produced the adhesive graphics in response to the popularity of its Spot On range. Sales director for Drytac Europe, Steve Broad, says: “Our Spot On range has become increasingly popular, and we’ve worked closely with HP to develop an easy-to-apply and easy-to-remove graphics solution for HP Page Wide XL printers.

“Profiled and validated by HP, Spot On Syn Paper provides HP Page Wide XL users with a new product for signage market.”

The paper is particularly suited to printing graphics that will be applied to surfaces indoors. Trade shows will benefit from technology such as this, to produce advertising and signs for the event.

Retailers can also use the technology to create similar signage that can be used for seasonal sales, and for point-of-sale. Drytac also produces graphic films, window films, double-sided tapes, and self-adhesive print media, which would also be useful to store or business owners.

Spot On Syn Paper can also be hand-applied to surfaces like walls or panels, and can be taken down again within six months, which makes it a perfect solution for retail signage or trade shows, which are usually temporary.
