New investors Ben Moss and Rob Kelly praised StackaWraps’ “unique” method of production

Moss and Kelly, who have both taken a shareholding in StackaWraps, are independent owners of various display graphics businesses and also previous directors of leading companies such as Service Graphics and St Ives.

Speaking about the investment, Moss highlighted StackaWraps’ “unique” system as one of the key highlights of the company, adding that he is looking forward to working with the technology.

“I have been working in the graphics and display markets for the decades and have not seen a product as clever as this one since the invention of the ‘pop up’ display system, it genuinely made me excited to see if I could get involved,” Moss says.

The products look real, not like a 3D printed and painted version or a 3D model and they have all the shadows, curves and features of the real thing

He adds: “The StackWraps method is a unique system that reproduces a photo-realistic large scale 3D version of any product. Giant drinks bottles, baked bean cans, perfume bottles or any type of packaged product can be produced cost effectively and without the need of a 3D printer or expensive 3D model-maker.”

Kelly also spoke highly of the system: “When I saw an image of a six foot high drinks bottle that looked like a solid object I thought well I’ve seen this before, so what? Then I realised that it was made up of a photo realistic graphic wrap zipped around a frame that flat packs.

“The products look real, not like a 3D printed and painted version or a 3D model and they have all the shadows, curves and features of the real thing. In fact, if you look at a photo of one in isolation it looks like a normal product shot until you realise it is as tall as a person.”
