No signs of slowing down for Kremer in 2016

After a bumper 2015 that saw the firm relocate to a bigger, state-of-the-art production facility, Kremer Signs is set to match the outgoing year’s success in the months ahead.

Just weeks into January, the business has already invested an impressive £750,000 into wide-format technology, namely the Océ Arizona 6160 XTS and the new six-colour Océ VariaDot.

Sales and marketing director at Kremer Signs, Gary Gosney, comments: “We are very excited to announce the investment into two new wide format printers, as part of our 2016 plans. Kremer Signs are continually researching and investing in the latest technology to offer our customers the best product and service.

“This investment will half our current lead times whilst enhancing the quality and finish of all of our printed products.”

The move from the firm’s Newbury head office to its new 15,000sq ft premises has been advantageous for Kremer, allowing it to hold its own raw material stock of more than 100,000 sheets of correx material and 25,000 timber posts, eliminating the wait for these items so demand can be met instantly, as well as the acquisition of Bristol-based Site Signs.

Also in 2015, the knock-on effect of the relocation meant Kremer managed to win new business from nearly 400 estate agency customers. Gosney adds: “We have seen a much higher demand from independent agents spread across the UK and another benefit from the new machines is that we can produce smaller runs at competitive rates, with a quick turnaround.”

In 2014, the business carried out a detailed survey with existing clients to deduce what is important to them when selecting a signage supplier, and established that quality, speed, and price are what matters most to customers.

Gosney concludes: “I feel we have improved upon all three of the key influences to an agent when selecting their preferred supplier, which will reinforce our position as the UK’s number 1 supplier of signage to the property sector.”
