The Durst Rho 512R will be added to Delta’s extensive arsenal of technology, which already boasts an impressive 89 devices that cover screen, litho and digital operations. Delta also plans to add to its 350,000sq ft print production capacity in order to make room for new investments.

“We invested in Durst because of the exceptional build quality and reliability, as well as the systems are fast and extremely efficient,” explains Martin Shipp, group operations and production director for Delta Display.

“The 512R roll-to-roll will help us to expand in new markets where we need high quality, large 5m capacity. There’s a growing market for fabrics and soft signage in the client base.”

The Rho 512R, which features Durst Quadro Array 12M printhead technology and droplet sizes of 12 pictolitres, can produce a print quality of up to 800dpi. The device also operates at a maximum speed of 350sq m/hr and can process three 1.6m rolls at the same time.

Peter Bray, Durst UK managing director, adds: “With extremely tight deadlines to meet and a requirement for exceptional quality, companies such as Delta increasingly rely on Durst’s market-leading technology to produce reliable, high volume and extremely high quality products that we’re delighted to be supplying.”
