Liverpool-based AB Screenprint has paid tribute the effect a switch to Nazdar digital inks has had on the business

AB Screenprint has a Uniform Grenadier SP-1900, an Agfa Grand Sherpa, a Mimaki JV3-160 and a Roland VersaExpress RF-640 in its print arsenal

The firm, which provides a range of promotional and display materials, was keen to ensure that its wide-format printers were performing to the best of their ability.

AB Screenprint currently boasts a Uniform Grenadier SP-1900, an Agfa Grand Sherpa, a Mimaki JV3-160 and a Roland VersaExpress RF-640.

As part of this effort, the firm contacted Quality Print Services (QPS) about Nazdar ink, of which it is main distributor.

Having established that Nzadar inks would be the most effective, AB Screenprint opted to use the ink on all four of its devices—a decision that, according to co-founder Kevin Baker, has already paid dividends.

Simply by changing inks we've reduced our maintenance and spare part costs

“We were struggling with the Grenadier printer when we initially installed it in 2006 and needed support—the inks we were using were practically destroying the machine,” Baker explains.

“At this point, QPS were recommended to us and we've not looked back since.

“They suggested we try Nazdar's inks in the Grenadier and since the swap-over to the Nazdar 1300 Series inks we've had no issues whatsoever.

“Simply by changing inks we've reduced our maintenance and spare part costs."
