The digital signage arm of creative studio, Framestore, has announced the official launch of its digital signage platform, LUX.

The LUX platform is a central management system (CMS) that aims to make it simple to update and manage digital signage content across multiple displays from a single platform. Features include the ability to customise content ‘on-the-go’, enabling clients to tailor messages, alter advertisements, or provide bespoke information to specific audiences or events.

The CMS, which is powered by the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform, promises to deliver high-quality visuals and third-party data integration. Key capabilities of the upgraded platform include in-house designed data visualisations, as well as a range of branded templates for content sharing including wayfinding, events, weather, and social media.

Security and reliability have also been key focuses in the development of LUX, leveraging the security features of its partner, AWS.

The announcement has been made to align with the dates of Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025, where a range of other releases have been announced.

Jonny Dixon, head of production for digital signage at Framestore, says: “This new product stands out because of its content-oriented approach.

“We’ve designed an intuitive CMS interface that allows for easy customisation and ensures brands can deliver tailored messages with precision. The platform’s adaptability, driven by client feedback and the latest technological innovations, makes it a game-changer in the industry.”

Framestore is also a major provider of VFX for the motion picture industry, so far winning six Academy Awards. It has most recently been nominated in the Best VFX category for feature film, Wicked.
