Premier now offers the Re-Board range of lightweight paperboard solutions to the UK and Ireland market, offering a fully fibre-based lightweight display solution to its customers

UK-based material supplier, Premier, has expanded its portfolio to now offer Re-Board – a versatile paperboard designed to offer lightweight construction and heavyweight strength.
Re-Board is constructed with a patented, ultra-dense tilted fluted core, developed to give the paperboard high strength, rigidity, crush resistance, and cutting performance.
Premier says the product’s strength-to-weight ratio and eco-friendly materials allow Re-board to be used as a sustainable alternative to wood, MDF, PVC, and foam boards in the printing, exhibition, and retail visual marketing industries.
Both Re-board’s liners and core are made from 100% paper and contain no plastics, creating a fully fibre-based lightweight display solution.
Steve Jones, sheet media and thermoplastics director at Premier UK and Ireland, says: “Re-Board proves that strong doesn’t have to mean heavy.
“Despite its impressively lightweight construction, this powerful paperboard delivers superb strength, stiffness, and integrity. It’s also versatile, suitable for everything from signs and displays to free-standing furniture, so we’re excited that it has been added to our established Sheet Media portfolio.”
The range is made up of five products, all of which are suitable for UV, latex, and screen printing. This includes Re-Board Premium, a rigid paperboard with a brown core and bright white surface which presents a more lightweight solution compared to comparable traditional substrates.
Re-Board Premium is suitable for both 2D and 3D projects, with its flatness and rigidity making it possible to cut into shapes for applications ranging from signage to freestanding furniture.
Other products in the range include Re-Board Air, a light paperboard best-suited to 2D and 2.5D applications. Coloured options in the range including All White, All Black, and Brown are also available, as well as the Fire Retardant option which has a Euroclass C fire rating.
All Re-board grades except the Fire Retardant option are FSC certified and can be fully recycled using standard paper streams.
