CMYUK announces new strategic deal with Eddie Tucker
CMYUK has partnered with Eddie Tucker to deliver its print equipment solutions directly to Liyu England’s established customer base
Blue Sky Signs and Lintec Europe both recently purchased a Mimaki UCJV330-160 print-and-cut device in order to diversify their application range and deliver more advanced print solutions

Two more UK companies have invested in Mimaki’s UCJV330-160 print-and-cut UV-LED inkjet printer in order to expand their offerings and unlock new print capabilities.
Full-service signage and graphics specialist, Blue Sky Signs, recently installed the UCJV330-160, purchasing the press from official UK reseller, Soyang Europe.
By combining Mimaki’s advanced print capabilities with Soyang’s portfolio of specialist media, the company aims to deliver a wider range of creative and premium-finish graphics solutions.
Based in Gloucester, Blue Sky Signs designs, manufactures, and installs a wide range of signage solutions for customers both locally and nationally. Its services include interior and exterior signage, vehicle graphics and wraps, exhibition graphics, and printed promotional products.
Dave Oldfield, managing director of Blue Sky Signs, says: “As demand for high-quality, fast-turnaround printed applications continued to grow, we wanted to expand our capabilities and improve production efficiency.
“We were particularly looking to bring more work in-house, broaden the range of materials we could print onto, and offer clients more creative options including layered, textured, and specialist finishes that weren’t as easily achievable with our existing setup.”
After reviewing several options, the company chose the Mimaki UCJV330-160, a roll-to-roll device that runs at speeds of up to 55sq m/hr in four-colour super draft mode, producing print at a maximum resolution of 1800dpi.
With the Mimaki UCJV330-160, ink is instantly cured under UV light, allowing for immediate post-processing. Because it doesn’t rely on specific surface types, it can print on a wide range of substrates, opening up applications such as window graphics, wallpaper, floor graphics, banners, and flags.
Oldfield adds: “We liked the printer because of its versatility, print quality, and ability to handle a wide variety of applications. The UV technology allows us to print onto more materials, produce vibrant colours, and create layered effects that really elevate the finished product.”

Lintec Europe, a manufacturer of self-adhesive films for architectural window graphics, also recently installed the Mimaki UCJV330-160 UV printer cutter at its High Wycombe headquarters through an arrangement with the exclusive distributor for Mimaki in the UK and Ireland, Hybrid Services.
Part of the global Lintec Group, Lintec Europe supplies specialist window films used across commercial interiors, retail environments, and corporate spaces.
Manufactured in a defect-free cleanroom environment, Lintec’s films are engineered to meet the high consistency standards of architectural projects.
Lintec Europe purchased the press to improve its confidence in its sample production, seeking a solution that could better meet its requirements. The UCJV330-160 stood out particularly for the performance of its white UV ink on Lintec’s own films.
Lintec Europe managing director, Andy Voss, explains: “Our films are designed to perform at a premium level, so the print quality has to match.
“The adhesion, scratch resistance, and overall punch of Mimaki’s white ink is a significant step forward. When customers are assessing our films, the printed sample has to be an accurate representation of the finished application. We simply cannot compromise on that.”
The emphasis on white ink reflects a broader shift in architectural window graphics, with demand increasing for subtler white fades that balance privacy and openness within modern workspaces.
Mimaki says the digital printing capabilities of the UCJV330-160 allows for fully customised graduated fades, delivering more controlled visibility for films and graphics.
Voss adds: “In many contemporary interiors, it is the white layer that defines the design. It controls privacy, light transmission, and visual impact. For that reason, the opacity, durability, and scratch resistance of the white ink are absolutely critical, particularly when printing onto hard coated films where unprinted areas are designed to remain pristine.”
The UCJV330-160 will be used primarily to produce in-house samples, allowing Lintec Europe to respond quickly to customer requests while retaining full control over print quality.
In addition, the Mimaki printer will support Lintec Europe’s ongoing product development work. The company’s defect-free, cleanroom manufactured films are developed in Japan and can be tested and evaluated in the UK before being released to the European market, with print performance, white ink behaviour, and durability all assessed under controlled conditions.
