Soyang Europe, a manufacturer and distributor of digitally printable wide-format and superwide-format media and surface coverings, has announced the launch of ST-1291 Hera Luxury Backlit.
ST-1291, which joins Soyang’s existing SoTex material range, is a warp-knitted polyester backlit textile. The material has been developed to provide an extra-dense structure with minimal light leakage, designed to create vibrant backlit displays for applications including events, exhibitions, and retail applications.
Compatible with both dye-sublimation direct-to-fabric (DTF) and transfer applications, the material is reported to have minimal shrinkage and warp at less than 2%. A flat, smooth surface, and a high crease recovery make it easy to handle and fold for transportation.
ST-1291 is certified to EN13501-1 standards, with widths available up to 3.2m and standard lengths of 100m offering scalability for a range of project sizes.
Additional benefits include full compliance with the Global Recycled Standard. The standard, developed by the Textile Exchange, verifies the recycled content of a material and ensures it can be recycled properly.
Oliver Mashiter, sales director at Soyang Europe, says: “Soyang Europe has witnessed a significant rise in demand for backlit applications in recent years, with more customers approaching us for support in terms of materials. ST-1291 further expands our range and offers an improved and planet friendly solution for use across all manner of projects.”
Soyang Europe has announced a number of new material solutions in recent months. Earlier this month it released Show Floor, a flooring material designed for UV printing designed to provide durability, vibrant printability, cost-effectiveness, and eco-friendly properties.
In May, the manufacturer launched ST-225 Nero Blackback, a warp-knitted polyester fabric with a black back offering complete opacity and eliminating light transmission.
