Make it Happen Signage Consultancy has announced an exclusive partnership with graphic installation company, CVI group, which includes the launch of a new workshop called the Under Wraps Bootcamp.
The Under Wraps Bootcamp offers participants the opportunity to learn the entire process of wrapping including installation, which is advertised as a “hands on” course.
The first full day workshop will take place at Make it Happen’s training facility in Leicester on October 15th, running from 9am to 4pm.
Included in the course will be training on artwork setup, aesthetics, aftercare hints and tips, and a series of wrapping demonstrations.
The workshop is one of a range learning opportunities organised by Make it Happen, which is run by founder and chief executive officer, Sam Armstrong.
Other workshops include the Signage Bootcamp, On the Frontline, and Sustainability Bootcamp.
Speaking of the new workshop, Armstrong says: “We are delighted to be collaborating with CVI Group on the new Make it Happen ‘Under Wraps Bootcamp’. This new Bootcamp is an excellent addition to our highly successful workshops.”
Chris Edwards, founder and director of CVI Group, spoke to Armstrong on his Wrap Cast podcast earlier this year. The podcast is designed as a resource for vinyl wrappers and signage applicators and has featured a range of guests including SignLink editor, David Osgar.
Edwards explains: “When I first met Sam on our podcast, I knew it wasn’t going to be a one-off meeting.
“We threw some ideas at each other and came up with something we believe will be a great addition to the industry. Sam’s knowledge and expertise, both in the industry, and in training and education is invaluable; teaming up was a no brainer.”
Edwards spoke yesterday at this year’s Wrapfest, the UK’s dedicated show for the vehicle and surface decoration community.
Edwards was part of a talk titled ‘Engaging the Next Generation’, which focused on how the wrapping industry can engage young professionals.
