Liyu England release new hybrid UV printer

Liyu England (formerly Liyu UK) has introduced the X Line Hybrid UV Printer to the UK market, a 2.1m hybrid printer designed for sign-makers and print shops.

The X Line Hybrid offers 2400dpi resolution, 5pl drop size, and support for CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, white, and varnish. It has a reported speed of up to 80 sqm/hr.

The printhead is powered by a magnetic linear motor, designed to remove the need to maintain belts or pulleys.

According to the company, the X Line can print onto virtually any substrate, handling rigid and roll-fed materials up to 50mm thick.

The printer also uses gold-certified Greenguard inks, manufactured to produce low emissions and ensure safe indoor air quality.

The X Line also provides a ‘Just Add Heads’ solution, which allows users to add more printheads as their business grows, aiming to ensure companies have option for scalability and protection of investment.

The UV LED machine’s workflow system is compatible with RIP software including Photo Print, Caldera, and Onyx. It is also designed for low power consumption, helping to reduce energy costs and minimise environmental impact.
