Wes Small, who is tasked with driving Liyu UK's growth and market presence, arrives to the role with over 12 years of experience in wide-format printing
Liyu UK has appointed Wes Small as its new UK national sales manager.
Small comes into the role with over 12 years of experience in the wide-format printing industry, having previously held senior sales positions at EFI, CMYUK, and Agfa.
In his new role, he will be tasked with utilising his previous experience to drive Liyu UK's growth and build its market presence.
According to Liyu, he has particularly strong experience in the Italian market, a key market focus for the company. As part of his introduction to Liyu, Small was given demonstration of Liyu machines at the recent Viscom international trade fair for visual communication in Milan.
Speaking of the appointment, Eddie Tucker, managing director of Liyu UK, says: "Appointing someone with Wes' experience and track record is exactly what Liyu UK needs as we look to develop our presence in the UK further.
“The industry is becoming increasingly aware of the quality, value, and breadth of our product range, which has resulted in rapid sales growth. Wes has the knowledge and skills to build on this momentum and take us to the next level."
Small comments: "Liyu's potential in the UK market is huge. My main role is to build strong relationships with customers and partners and to develop our market awareness, perception, and reputation.
"I am very excited about what can be achieved with Liyu UK. I saw at Viscom the sheer quality of the products and the impressive technological advances continually being developed. We have an incredibly comprehensive range of products, and we can offer a solution for every kind of print service provider."
The appointment comes at a time of change at Liyu UK. The company is reportedly expanding its service, support, and marketing teams, with further announcements to come in the near future.
In June, Liyu also announced the opening of its new Custom Build & Service Centre, opened in response to increased demand for its Platinum range of UV printers and flatbed cutting tables.
Tucker continues: “We have a fantastic range of printers and cutters that are proving to be innovative and reliable solutions for the industry, and now we have the infrastructure to support further growth over the coming years. It's exciting times for Liyu UK."
