John Brailsford Printers has added new equipment from HP, Neolt, and Keencut to better serve its target markets and transform its capabilities

Commercial signage printer, John Brailsford Printers, has upgraded its wide-format printing and finishing kit with a range of investments in HP, Neolt, and Keencut solutions.
Three new wide-format HP DesignJet printers have been added to the company’s shop-fronted premises in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, including two T2600s and a Z9 model. John Brailsford Printers also purchased a Neolt 165 pneumatic laminator a 3m Keencut Evolution 3 cutting system.
The equipment was purchased through equipment supplier, Stanford Marsh Group, with the group also providing training and service for the machines. Company owner, John Brailsford, reportedly purchased the devices after extensive market research.
Amy Smith, sales manager at Stanford Marsh Group, says: “John did his homework – he is very knowledgeable about what his customers need to get the job done and these purchases will continue to help him providing that and moving him into new markets”.
The HP Z9 was purchased for its ability to offer high quality photographic print imaging, with Brailsford saying: “The new printer gives us wide-format printing that we have never seen before.
“Our customers are just blown away with the detail and amazing colour – once we print something for them they are hooked and are already asking for their job to be printed on this machine every time”.
The Keencut 3m manual cutter, which was purchased to upgrade from a smaller Keencut device, aims to offer effortless trimming for super-size banners and signage.
While the equipment was supplied through Stanford Marsh, Keencut was on hand to provide advice and to help choose the best solution for the company’s needs.
Speaking to SignLink, Brailsford comments: “While the Keencut device was supplied through a supplier, Keencut themselves were very helpful at taking calls and talking through exactly what I needed.
“Adding the Keencut device has transformed our capabilities, without the major capital cost of installing a large machine-operated flatbed cutter.”
Rounding up the kit purchases, the Neolt 1.5m dual-roll pneumatic hot and cold laminator was added to expand the range of laminating and mounting options along with unattended roll feeding.
Brailsford adds: “I know I could have bought cheaper, probably less reliable equipment, but the investment in the Neolt will be repaid many times over because it is a professional machine that will never need to be replaced.”
John Brailsford Printers celebrates 40 years in business in 2026, with Brailsford having first started his self-named company at the age of 16 in 1986.
