Canon Europe has unveiled details of the new imagePROGRAF TC-20 large-format desktop printer

Producer of print and imaging equipment, Canon, has announced a new solution for large-format printing in small working spaces.
The new imagePROGRAF TC-20 is a compact desktop large-format printer than can be fit on a desk or shelf, making it ideal for home or office printing. The printer is capable of 100 A4 sheets or 50 A3 sheets of plain paper continuously, or roll paper of up to A1+ sizes.
The printer is targeted to the ultra-low volume market, being described as best for the architecture, engineering and construction, education, and hospitality sectors.
Jennifer Kolloczek, european planning, marketing & innovation senior director, production print, at Canon Europe explains: βWays of working have rapidly changed in the last few years, as many have adopted a hybrid style of working, with people splitting their time between the office and their homes.
βDiversification of places and ways of working has led to the spread of distributed operations in multiple workplaces and as a result, there is a growing need for entry level large format printers, especially when transitioning between central, remote, and home offices.β
The printer has created with an easy-to-use design including its easy to access ink bottles and paper loading tray.
The free Direct Print Plus software and shaftless roll holder make it easy for businesses such as restaurants and retail stores to print quick and easy menus/posters.
βIt also comes with job submission software which is compatible with other imagePROGRAF models and supports hybrid working, making printing easy when transitioning between the office and home,β adds Kolloczek.
