Many in signage industry have shared excitement and will welcome the return of awards in the signage industry tonight at The Sign Awards, a brand-new event from the team behind The UK Graphic Awards.

The event is supported by sponsors Amari Plastics Manchester, HP, ISA-UK, Metamark, SloanLED, Smith Sign & Display, Spandex UK, Tradeprint, Vink Lighting Solutions, Zund UK, and 3M.

ITV presenter Emma Jesson will be hosting the evening and will be helping to give out 12 prizes to a variety of individuals and companies in the world of signage.

The winners have been chosen by an independent panel of judges based overseas, all of which have a wealth of experience.

Chloe Stidwill, marketing manager at DMA Signs, says: “We are honoured to be attending The Sign Awards, having been nominated for 2 awards! We are very much looking forward to celebrating all the amazing work that our team has put in to create these nominated projects and celebrating all the other inspiring work in our industry from this year, seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones too.

“After attending last year's very well put together UK Graphic Awards, we know this will be a night to remember.”

Matt Burns, operations manager at Beyond Signage, comments: “From humble beginnings in 2009 we now find ourselves shortlisted for two awards! Northern Ireland is an exciting place to work, live and visit, and we are very excited to showcase to the judging panel what we have to offer.

Burns along with Shauna McClements from Off The Wall Creative are celebrating nominations in two categories. Teams from both Beyond Signage and Off The Wall will be flying over for the awards from Northern Ireland.

Burns adds: “The competition is fierce, and we are so proud to be shortlisted alongside some incredible sign companies. Thanks to everyone at The Sign Awards for organising what will be an amazing event. See you all soon!”

Shauna McClements from Off The Wall Creative says: “We are honoured to be nominated and look forward to meeting and celebrating with other industry professionals at the awards. Our team put our heart and soul into what we do and for that reason we want to celebrate as a team.

“It is only right that we should bring everyone who is able to make it over for the celebrations. We are hopeful of a successful night for Off The Wall Creative but regardless we wish all companies nominated the best of luck!”

With several events taking place this week, businesses are abuzz with excitement and positivity towards the awards, with many evidently showing friendly approaches to the competition.

Dean Ashworth, sales & marketing director at Zund UK adds: “Zund UK are delighted to be supporting such a respected awards event within an industry that has been part of our DNA for many years, the short-listed companies are all worthy winners in their own rights.”

Awards on the night include recognition for architectural signs, illuminated signs, interior décor, and wayfinding schemes. Individuals in the industry up for awards consist of Craig Brown, David Allen, Jeff Bufton, Sam Armstrong, and young sign-makers Dillon Hollinger and Lois Denatale.

SignLink will happily be attending the event and looks forward to seeing everyone in the industry.
