This year’s event plays host to several award ceremonies, conferences, and celebrations in Munich

FESPA Global Print Expo, European Sign Expo, and Personalisation Experience open this week, running from May 23rd to 26th in Messe Munich, Germany.

The well known event has already detailed a number of exhibitors, materials, and attractions which print and sign businesses from around the world can experience in-person or partially at home.

Exhibitors include the likes of AGFA, Aleph, Brother, Canon, Durst, EFI, Fujifilm, Hanglory, Hexis, HP, MHM, Mimaki, Ricoh, Roland, Sun Chemical, Surfex and swissQprint, all looking to showcase their latest solutions.

The event will display a wide array of technologies and consumables for the wide-format, screen, and textile printing, garment decoration, and signage industries.

In our recent video interview with head of FESPA Global Print Expo, Michael Ryan, we discussed the new parts of the show and why the 2023 event will be different from previous shows. Check it out below, or on the SignLink YouTube channel:

Alongside FESPA Global Print Expo will be European Sign Expo in Hall A2, which will show the latest products in channel lettering, dimensional signage, digital signage, display systems, engraving and etching, illuminated displays, LED, neon, out-of-home media, and sign tools.

With sustainability being more important than ever, the Sustainability Spotlight will also be a key feature in Hall B2 Stand 61. The stand gives visitors the chance to see materials including leather and leather alternatives, natural fibres, cellulosics, and synthetics.

This year will also be the first time since 2019 that the FESPA Awards will run alongside the exhibition. Shortlisted entries will be showcased in the West Entrance of Messe Munich, displaying 210 submissions from 34 countries.

Judged by a panel of independent experts, winners will be announced in a VIP ceremony on Wednesday, May 24th.

In order to help attendees, FESPA has developed a new event app which is downloadable from the App Store and Google Play. The purpose of the app is to help visitors and exhibitors plan their visit with scheduling and personalised diary functions.

Visitors will also get a chance to come together and celebrate at a party held by FESPA at Pacha Munich, located in the centre of Munich Altstadt, from 19:00 onwards on Thursday, May 25th.

Last but not least the World Wrap Master competition will hold its final rounds on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th in hall B2.

The Final will see winners come together following regional heats in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, Norway, and UK & Ireland. Visitors interested in vehicle wrapping can also access free daily training workshops and demonstrations delivered in conjunction with The Wrap Institute on stand B2-C83.

Speaking about the event, Ryan concludes: “The power of a live FESPA event is that, in addition to having access to hundreds of potential suppliers, visitors can also network with like-minded business owners and exchange ideas and experiences to gain valuable new perspectives.

“With an incredible array of products, a strong line-up of inspirational show features, as well as our new Personalisation Experience, we can’t wait to welcome our international visitor and supplier community in Munich.”
