£600,000 signage tender up for grabs

Kew Gardens is looking for a company to manufacture signage for interpretation and exhibition

The tender is to produce signage for Kew Gardens and Wakehurst over four years

A tender worth £600,000 is currently out to produce interpretation and exhibition materials for the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew’s sites at Kew Gardens and Wakehurst.

According to the job listing on the Gov.co.uk website, the work will include producing technical drawings, providing engineering assessments, manufacturing, printing, and installing at the sites.

Posted on March 14th, the ad closes on April 20th, 2023 at 10am meaning there is still time to apply for the work.

Just 30 minutes from Central London, Kew Gardens is home to over 50,000 living plants. The UNESCO World Heritage site features the world’s largest Victorian glasshouse filled with rare and threatened plants, and a Mediterranean habitat and King William’s Temple.

In the heart of Sussex, the Wakehurst site is home to the Millennium Seed Bank, over 500 acres of diverse landscapes, and boardwalks over aquatic plants and a serene pond.

Suitable for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), the four-year contract begins on July 3rd, 2023, and ends on March 2nd, 2027.
