A former employee of FASTSIGNS Chelmsford, Prosper Chuks, has become the new manager of the signage business, after first joining the business in 2023

Essex-based signage company, FASTSIGNS Chelmsford, has transitioned to new management, with former employee Prosper Chuks taking on the role of centre owner.
Chuks first joined the business in 2023 as a sign manufacturer, following a previous career in IT and procurement.
Prior to taking the helm, Chuks had risen to become the centre’s co-director, working as both a hands-on manufacturer and designer, while also dealing closely with creative customer briefs. He returns now as centre owner, where he will lead a team of seven.
Commenting on the transition, Chuks says: “Stepping up from previously managing the centre to now owning it is an incredible milestone for me.
“FASTSIGNS gave me my start in the industry and I’ve fallen in love with the craft and the local business community. Chelmsford, or the ‘new London’, as it’s now being described, is absolutely thriving and we’re thrilled to be back helping those businesses stand out.”
Alongside new management, the centre has also relocated to a 1,200sq ft unit on Dukes Park Industrial Estate in Chelmsford, where it houses Epson printers, a Zünd cutter, a laminator, and office workspace.
While much of the centre’s original team has been retained including production assistants, designers, and HR personnel, recruitment is underway for supporting roles inlcuding an outside sales professional to help drive the business’ growth.
The centre will serve both central and mid-Essex including Chelmsford, Braintree and Witham, Maldon, Great Dunmow, and the Dengie Peninsula.
Its next chapter will see it catering to businesses across the education, construction, and healthcare sectors, as well as organisations in the hospitality and leisure industries.
Commenting on the move, Chuks says: “The centre, albeit in a new location now, has a really proud history and my goal is simple: to bring it back to the top. Moving to our new site gives us the room and technology to deliver even more for our clients, and I’m excited for this chapter.”
John Davies, FASTSIGNS UK managing director, adds: “Prosper’s journey with FASTSIGNS is a real success story. Having seen his dedication, business acumen, and genuine passion for the craft first-hand as centre manager, I couldn’t be happier to see him take the reins as our latest franchisee, bringing a returning and successful centre back to the network.”
