PLASTGrommet draws attention with largest FESPA presence
PLASTGrommet has been inviting visitors to learn about its banner finishing technologies, including All In One Edge that launched at FESPA last year.
There will be a range of cutting technology on show at this year’s FESPA Global Print Expo

A number of manufacturers of cutting technology from lasers to CNC routers will be on hand at FESPA Global Print Expo in Munich to show their latest developments.
Taking place from May 23rd to 26th, FESPA Global Print Expo 2023 and the co-located European Sign Expo and Personalisation Experience will be held in Messe Munich.

International Graphic Supplies (IGS) will be launching the new Titanium 330-R roll-to-roll and roll-to-sheet digital label cutter.
The machine is aimed at the label market with an all-in-one digital label cutter that digitally die-cuts, cold laminates, and removes the excess label material around each die-cut shape and slits.
Eight automatic alignment cutting heads means the machine is capable of a cutting speed of 12m/min with a maximum cutting size of 330 x 1,000mm. It also has an auto deviation correction which ensures neat and precise feeding into a cold laminating function in a single pass.
Once finished, the product is automatically collated into a roll and five slitting knives cut at 60m per minute with waste removed.
Peter Flynn, managing director of IGS, says: “Digitally cutting any shape label, the Titanium 330-R is the ideal solution for the lucrative short-run labels market with no requirement for costly cutting dies, lamination, and slitting machines.
“Priced at £79,000+VAT which includes delivery, installation, training, and twelve months’ parts and labour warranty, makes for a quick ROI. This will be of great interest to anyone involved in the labels industry, I’m sure.”
Demonstrating its range of CNC innovations, AXYZ’s team of technical specialists will be on hand to answer any questions visitors may have about its products.
Information will be provided on the AZYZ TRIDENT, INFINITE, and INNOVATOR routers with live demonstrations taking place on-site of the AXYZ TRIDENT 6010.
The combined routing machine is described as “revolutionising the sign-making industry” and offers a router-knife hybrid system for processing a wide variety of materials such as aluminium, acrylic, foam, and wood.
“The TRIDENT 6010’s dual-purpose cutting head provides the versatility and precision necessary for creating high-quality signage,” says the company.
The AXYZ INFINITE router is also ideal for those looking for a customisable solution with the INNOVATOR router offering standard Option Ready installation packages enabling users to expand their machine’s capabilities as they grow.
Manufacturer of laser cutters and engraving solutions, Trotec Laser will use its presence at FESPA 2023 to show laser solutions for all applications. These will include the SP2000 large-format laser cutter and the Speedy 400 laser engraver, alongside the latest iteration of Ruby laser software.
The latter provides an efficient workflow for users from idea conception to the finished product, and enables job development to be implemented smoothly and profitably.
The manufacturer will be showing visitors a range of applications including print and cut, leather engraving, and plastic marking.
“Efficient, uncomplicated, and cost-saving production is no problem with digital laser cutting,” the manufacturer says. “With laser technology, new business opportunities can be explored. Products are produced reliably, wear-free, and sustainably.
“By using laser technology a perfect finish for printed products is achieved. Regardless of whether the user is producing displays, doing shop fitting or other printed items, laser systems enrich production by offering a universal, non-contact and productive solution for a wide range of materials and shapes.”

Another manufacturer of cutting solutions with a presence at FESPA 2023 is digital cutting systems provider Zünd. The company will be showing how its solutions can further automate digital cutting processes.
Zünd will do this by showing how when combined with intelligent software tools and solutions for automated material handling, its digital cutting systems can be highly efficient and cost effective.
At FESPA, the company says it will demonstrate automation solutions to suit any application. This includes PrimeCenter software which prepares printing and cutting data in an automated and standardised process, and Zünd connect which is a solution for production monitoring and analysis.
Zünd will also show solutions for fully and partial automated material handling and demonstrate the savings these can offer to a business. Live demonstrations will show visitors how robots can be used to pick and sort finished parts automatically with the Robot PortaTable 130. This consists of a mobile offload table equipped with a robotic arm, which can be easily set up and moved from one Zünd cutter to another.
Whilst details are still under wraps, the manufacturer will also be launching a brand-new, fully integrated system solution for autonomous pallet-to-pallet production.
