Fujifilm will use FESPA Global Print Expo as the launchpad for a range of new solutions, including its latest Acuity wide-format printers and AQUAFUZE ink technology

Print manufacturer, Fujifilm, will launch multiple new solutions to the market at this year’s FESPA Global Print Expo, including the formal launch of multiple Acuity wide-format solutions and inks.
FESPA Global Print Expo, running with the co-located European Sign Expo, is heading to Berlin for 2025 with a range of major manufacturers and suppliers announced.
Fujifilm will use its first FESPA appearance since 2023 to showcase its latest solutions for wide-format print, introducing offerings tailored to different market segments.
The company’s new Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro solution will be demonstrated at the exhibition.
With a 3.3m print width, the Ultra Hybrid Pro can be equipped with up to 32 Kyocera printheads, each delivering a reported 3.5pl drop size and over 10,000 nozzles per colour.
The wide-format printer adheres to a wide variety of media and is especially designed for both rigid and roll substrates, with ‘ease of use’ features designed to allow for quick changes between roll and rigid media jobs.
The printer also features a ‘quick run’ option, with a small roll function integrated into the bed, allowing short roll jobs to be carried out on the fly.
The Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro will be made commercially available shortly after FESPA Global Print Expo.
Fujifilm is also introducing its new ink technology, AQUAFUZE, after over a reported decade of research and development.
AQUAFUZE technology combines elements of UV LED and water-based inkjet printing, aiming to offer strong adhesion to various media for both indoor and outdoor applications.
AQUAFUZE ink is designed to produce thin-film, low-pile prints with sharp detail and a scratch-resistant finish, thereby minimising the need for a top coat.
AQUAFUZE is designed as a more sustainable and user-friendly alternative to traditional water-based ink technologies, according to Fujifilm.
The technology reportedly operates with lower energy consumption and reduced temperature drying compared to conventional water-based systems. Additionally, it is said to benefit from low-odour output while enhancing jetting stability by minimising nozzle blockages.
Fujifilm is launching AQUAFUZE with the debut of the Acuity Triton wide-format printer at FESPA Global Print Expo. The 1.6m wide printer, manufactured in Japan by Mutoh, has been specifically designed to harness the power of AQUAFUZE, offering reported speeds of up to 15sqm/hr.

The Acuity Triton featuring AQUAFUZE will be rolled out in phases via a network of dealers, region by region, dependent on dealership agreements in place. More details will be made available at FESPA.
Fujifilm has encouraged both dealers and wide-format customers of any size to visit the stand at FESPA to discuss the roll-out in more detail and discuss how they can get involved.
Aside from its Acuity solutions, Fujifilm have developed a single pass inkjet solution available in two configurations alongside machine manufacturer, Barberan.
The HS series is said to be the first of its kind, a multi-substrate, single-pass printer operating with 600dpi printheads whilst maintaining 5pl droplet sizes. The new printhead technology is said to elevate the quality and throughput of the HS series in comparison to earlier generation single-pass technologies previously available on the market.
The HS6000 inkjet press boasts production volumes of up to 6000sqm/hr, while a smaller, lower volume alternative, the HS3000, is being launched at FESPA.
With a smaller footprint, lower speed, and lower cost, the HS3000 is aiming to open up the possibilities of single pass inkjet to a broader audience.
Neither the HS6000 nor the HS3000 are off-the-shelf products but can be configured in numerous ways depending on individual priorities and business needs, with around 216 configurations possible.
David Burton, director of Fujifilm Wide-Format Inkjet Systems, says: “We’re delighted to be back at FESPA for the first time in two years, bringing unique solutions to the high-volume, industrial sign, and display markets.
“We’re excited to have two separate sections to our stand focusing on very different market needs. We’ve listened carefully to industry needs and designed these solutions to meet real market demands, backed by Fujifilm’s unrivalled service and support… FESPA Berlin 2025 will mark the introduction of three transformative products set to become industry benchmarks.”
Fujifilm can be found on Stands B60 and A61 in Hall 25 between May 6th to 9th in Messe Berlin.
