The graphics manufacturer has announced a new media coating which can help clean the air

Producer of wide-format and super wide-format graphics, MediaCo, has announced a first to market solution for outdoor graphics.
EnhanceAir Flex Face is a water-based photocatalytic clear coat which can be applied to flex face images to turn them into air purifiers.
The product has come about thanks to MediaCo’s ongoing work with PURETi and Convergent Print Group, which it announced a partnership with earlier in the year in order to make retail advertising more eco-friendly.
Speaking on LinkedIn ahead of the announcement, MediaCo managing director, Stephen Arthur said: “30 years in the business and I’ve never been more excited by developments that we will start to publish from Monday next….”
Arthur has called the new display coating as a “game changer” as it allows outdoor graphics of all types to become air purifiers by destroying three types of pollution.

The company says it has already completed out-of-home (OOH) campaigns using EnhanceAir for Uber Eats, Expedia, and Rolex ahead of the launch of EnhanceAir Flex Face.
The pollution that EnhanceAir eliminates are NOx, a harmful indirect greenhouse gas, as well as Volatile Organic compounds (VOCs), which contribute towards smog, and organic surface grime, which often dirty outdoor graphics.
Through a process involving sunlight, oxygen, humidity, and a mix of cleaning agents and enhanced oxygen molecules EnhanceAir is able to fight off toxic elements in the air and on the surface.
MediaCo is offering the top coat to businesses in the UK (terms and conditions apply) and is excited to extend the scope of the product in 2024.
Announcing the new product, Arthur and MediaCo says: “Imagine the opportunities and benefits if every external display surface, brickwork, or concrete, could be coated in EnhanceAir and could contribute to purifying the air? What’s not to be excited about?”
Throughout the year MediaCo has worked on offering new environmental solutions across the business including offering new recyclable and recycled 48 and 96 sheet format posters by its OOH sister company, Posterscope.
The company has also invested in new equipment like the UK’s first swissQprint Kudu installation, and a Vutek Q5R. dirties
