Data Direct launches new Mutoh XpertJet

Data Direct, a UK distributor of print and imaging solutions, has announced the availability of the new 64-inch Mutoh XpertJet 1641SR Pro II, the latest eco-solvent wide-format printer from Mutoh.

The XpertJet 1641SR Pro II combines Mutoh’s latest AccuFine HD Pro printhead with the new i-Screen EX print control system, delivering reported productivity of up to 17.6sq m/h.

The AccuFine printhead features eight nozzle rows with intelligent nozzle pairing capabilities designed to improve ink placement accuracy for each colour. Working in tandem with Mutoh’s i-Screen EX system, the technology aims to ensure strong colour uniformity, finer detail reproduction, and highly stable production performance.

The printer utilises Mutoh MS51 eco-solvent inks, expanding the achievable colour gamut in comparison to previous models, particularly in darker tones. The new inks reportedly deliver deeper blacks and more-vibrant reds, making it suitable for high-impact applications such as vehicle wraps, retail graphics, and exhibition displays.

The new XpertJet also features Mutoh’s DropMaster 2 and FeedMaster technologies, which automatically adjust bi-directional alignment and media feed accuracy. Additional features including a media tracker and nozzle area selector are designed to reduce setup time, improve reliability, and minimise downtime.

As an official Mutoh distributor, Data Direct will provide full commercial, technical, and after-sales support including product demonstrations, reseller training, and access to its nationwide service and support infrastructure.

The kit supplier has recently expanded its Bradford showroom to feature a number of new solutions alongside the XpertJet 1641SR Pro II, including the new Mutoh HA-1642, the Mutoh XpertJet 661UF, and a range of advanced Rowe wide-format scanners.

The range of Rowe scanners are designed to provide high speed and accuracy for document capture that is compliant with CAD, GIS, AEC, and other technical reprographics environments.
