PPDS is the exclusive digital display supplier for Oracle Red Bull Racing

Exclusive distributor of Philips displays, PPDS, has been named as the exclusive digital display supplier for the Oracle Red Bull Racing team.
The news follows a successful stint as Official Team Supplier in 2022 where PPDS transformed the race day experience for VIP guests in the Oracle Red Bull Racing Paddock Club through advanced custom visual solutions.
Now, as the exclusive digital display supplier for Oracle Red Bull Racing, PPDS will provide the Formula one World Championship team with a host of advanced, custom-specified, and specially designed Philips professional displays and monitors.
These will be provided for the team’s Technology Campus in Milton Keynes as well as for all 23 races in the 2023 F1 schedule which started in Bahrain at the start of this month.
The PPDS displays will be used to support the team’s visual needs from pitlanes to the Oracle Red Bull Racing Paddock Club. In this area over 17 Philips professional displays will provide guests with race day experiences like 4K UHD race coverage and exclusive behind-the-scenes content.
According to PPDS, the ‘centerpiece’ for the Oracle Red Bull Racing Paddock Club is a large 10m2 Ultra HD Philips dvLED videowall which was designed and built exclusively for the hospitality team.
Described as a “game-changer” for the venue, the Philips L-Line 9000 Series dvLED wall measures 4.85m wide and 2.05m high. Built into two separate and highly durable flight cases designed by PPDS and built in partnership with fellow NL-based firm, AMPCO Flashlight, the wall can be installed easily with a ‘pop-up pop-down’ motion.

All in all, three portable dvLED video walls have been built by PPDS for the Oracle Red Bull Racing team. Other displays in the Paddock Club include four Philps MediaSuite professional TVs, seven Philips AOC gaming monitors and six Philips 222B9T touch monitors two of which are used for Oracle Red Bull Racing driving simulators.
In addition to being the exclusive digital display supplier, PPDS is also the team’s official Innovation Partner and a Red Bull Technology Campus Partner and will provide day-to-day support to the teams in Milton Keynes.
“We are delighted to have renewed and extended our relationship with Oracle Red Bull Racing,” says Tim de Ruiter, business development director at PPDS. “This is a relationship that is driven by partnership, with a shared desire to lead from the front and to achieve the seemingly impossible.
“Oracle Red Bull Racing doesn’t settle for second best, so in 2022, becoming an Official Team Supplier was an incredibly proud moment for us at PPDS.”
De Ruiter goes on to explains that after demonstrating its “unrivalled commitment, capabilities, and support to ensure the team’s needs and ambitions are met”, PPDS is incredibly proud to now be Oracle Red Bull Racing’s exclusive digital display supplier.
Christian Horner, team principal at Oracle Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Technology, adds: “We always look for our partners’ cultures to have synergies with our own. Both Oracle Red Bull Racing and PPDS strive for excellence and working together with our teams to bring high performance is a shared quality.
“The emphasis on teamwork, partnership, and innovation, and the entrepreneurial and agile ways of working at PPDS made them the ideal partner for us. Our teams and our guests have been delighted by the super-sized Philips LED walls, delivering crystal clear pictures in stunning HD that bring all the action of the racetrack and the pit lane into the Paddock Club itself.”
