The addition of the second calender means FaberExposize UK can offer continuous production

Wide-format print company FaberExposize UK has added to its fleet of machinery with the purchase of a Klieverik GTC101-3500 dye-sublimation fixation calender.

The new machine will enable the company to expand its dye-sublimation production as well as significantly speeding up the in-house printing process.

2022 has been a year of investment for FaberExposize UK with the latest purchase the fourth major capital investment in the space of a year. This investment strategy was implemented by the management team and also includes the purchase of an Avinci CX3200 dye-sublimation printer, Jeti Tauro H3300 UV printer, and a Zund G3 flatbed cutter.

Throughout the year, Iain Clasper-Cotte, managing director of FaberExposize UK and sister company Northern Flags, has invested over Β£1m into the local area. This is through reshoring jobs that were produced in Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands, and increasing the Yorkshire region’s print production.

The latest purchase of the Klieverik GTC101-3500 dye-sublimation fixation calender means FaberExposize UK is now placed in a strategic company as one of the few wide-format companies to have full control over every stage of the fabric production process.

As customers demand faster turnarounds, Clasper-Cotte says this reliability of speed is what motivated the latest investment of a second calendar. β€œHaving two of the same machines means that we can proceed with our production even during the maintenance period of one of them.

β€œThis is particularly important in industries such as exhibitions, events, sports, and retail where having the capacity to offer just-in-time production is a dealbreaker.”
