Association for the printing industry, The British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), has announced a series of in-person and online events, including a roundtable event held in partnership with Ricoh.
The BPIF champions education, high standards, and practical advice in the print industry, and the next few months will see the association focus on areas like apprenticeships, retail print, and energy reduction.
Its collaboration with Ricoh will take place in the form of a roundtable focusing on display and point-of-sale (POS) in retail. The online free-to-attend event will take place via Zoom at 10am on February 15th, 2023.
The roundtable will explore the way in which printers engage with retail businesses, and the importance of printed media for capturing consumer attention.
Facilitated by Olga Munroe, head of the Retail Institute at Leeds Beckett University and chair of the BPIF Display & POS Group, the roundtable will host a number of specialist speakers with room for a Q&A and discussion session.
Marcus Clifford, BPIF regional director, comments: “This event is part of our Display and POS group which brings networks together to help the sector sustain and grow, from all parts of the supply chain.
“The solutions we provide, combined with our relationships with Point-of-Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) and The Retail Institute and our showcase at the Visual Media Conference, provides the sector with insight, information, and knowledge. We want to champion the sector and provide inspiring solutions for the future.”
Stewart Cobby, inkjet sales manager at Ricoh UK, adds: “The relationship between the print and retail sectors has always been a strong and essential one, and this online roundtable event will examine the importance of continuing this collaboration.”
In order to continue its work encouraging the younger generation into careers in print, the BPIF will also be hosting a number of events in conjunction with National Apprenticeship Week.
The association’s online Lunch and Learn will take place on February 8th, 2023, and will be aimed at parents, carers, guardians, students, and teachers, along with print and packaging companies. The aim is to demonstrate the career possibilities in print, and give insight into the exciting routes available.
