Leicestershire-based full-service print business, Advance Print Solutions, has invested in a HP Latex 830W printer, in order to expand its presence in the transport graphics market.

Based in Lutterworth, Advance Print Solutions offers both wide-format and small-format print services as well as retail displays, point-of-sale (POS) materials, and vinyl graphics.

As part of plans to expand its service offering and enter new markets, the company identified significant opportunities in the transport graphics sector, with its investment in the HP Latex 830W aiming to strengthen its capabilities and enable it to capitalise on this growth area.

Purchased from approved HP distribution partner, Perfect Colours, and installed at Advance Print Solutions’ facility in April 2026, the HP Latex 830W offers print speeds of up to 36sq m/hr in outdoor mode, a dedicated white ink channel, and the ability to handle a wide variety of media up to 1.63m wide.

Sheron Cummins, managing director of Advance Print Solutions, explains that the printer was purchased following “significant research”, with the HP solution standing out for its positive reviews, especially regarding its flexibility and quality when used to produce vehicle graphics.

Cummins says: “It was the perfect fit for where we want to take the graphics department. We have already seen the benefits first-hand, with increased capacity supporting our continued growth, and it has opened up new opportunities.

“With strong connections in the transport and logistics industry, we are perfectly placed to support transport organisations with vehicle and company branding. This is an area where we are excited to grow as a business.”

The HP Latex 830W is Advance Print Solutions’ first investment from the HP Latex range, with the company now hoping to benefit from the machine’s wider capabilities including its environmental credentials.

As with all HP Latex printers, the 830W runs water-based Latex Inks which have much lower volatile organic compound (VOC) content than standard solvent or eco-solvent inks.

Aside from vehicle graphics, the machine’s use of white ink can open up additional opportunities for the company across window graphics, signage, and other applications that require more vibrant, high-impact output on coloured and transparent materials.

Solutions including the Latex 730W and 830W will be showcased by HP at The Sign Show 2026, which will take place at NEC Birmingham from September 29th to October 1st.

Co-located with The Print Show, the event is focused on helping visitors find the tools and solutions that they need to succeed and grow in the world of branding, advertising, and marketing. HP will present its latest print innovations from Stand S100 of the exhibition, right next to the main entrance.

The Print Show recently spoke to Colin Easton from HP about the company's return to the exhibition for 2026
