Instant Image opted for the machine after seeing it in action at Sign and Digital UK

Started in 1990, the company offers not only traditional sign-making services, but also a unique offering where they travel to a site and produce signs in the back of a van.

Having gone down the franchise root before leaving to set-up as an independent firm, Wilby and Wright say the most important strength of their business is building solid customer relationships and a reputation built on referrals.

It has a much better quality of finish and it’s helped us improve the timeliness of our service to our customers and easily handles all the materials that we work with

The latest step up for the pair is to invest in a KF16 vertical panel saw from Sagetech as part of an effort to improve production and enhance its already-strong reputation in the market.

“It has a much better quality of finish and it’s helped us improve the timeliness of our service to our customers and easily handles all the materials that we work with.  It has a really solid frame and already we are starting to improve our productivity,” says Wilby, who adds: “I especially like the whole safety emphasis built into the design of the machine. I would strongly recommend it.”

The machine is capable of handling sheets up to 3.1m x 1.6m and has a number of features such as a ripcut gauge, floating router for constant depth setting, a choice of blade to suit most non-ferrous materials, as well as dust extraction. All of these features will serve Instant Image well in today’s competitive market.
