Metamark UK has continued its plans to expand the company internationally and grow specific revenue streams.

At the start of the year, the company announced Phil Wild to the role of chief executive officer to enhance the company’s board ahead of continued growth.

In alignment with the appointment Paul French, Metamark’s previous chief executive officer has now assumed the role of executive chairman, retaining strategic oversight over the company.

Previously French led a management buyout (MBO) of Metamark in 2017 with the backing of Primary Capital and has since overseen profitable growth for the company in the UK and internationally.

Wild is joining as chief executive officer after spending 20 years in various roles at 3M and then ten years as chief executive officer of AIM-listed James Cropper. According to Wild, James Cropper delivered tenfold profit growth during his tenure at the company.

With expertise in acquisitions, integrations, and managing growth in niche/speciality areas, Metamark hopes Wild can bring that vital experience to the company during a time of accelerated growth.

Wild gained a wealth of knowledge from his time studying engineering at Loughborough University as well as having executive education at the London Business Schools and Wharton University.

Speaking about his new role, Wild says: “I’m delighted to have found Metamark and to have accepted the chief executive officer role as the company positions to deliver its full promise and potential.

“We get to work with immediate effect looking to accelerate organic growth across all areas of the business, and further explore various M&A opportunities whilst also pulling through an exciting new products pipeline that will attract more new customers to the company. Metamark contemplates a wider international horizon and will be pressing on with its partners and behind new business models that serve the needs of our core markets and beyond.”

Wild adds: “Metamark has a great brand, wonderful products, and very talented people. I’m fully committed to our success.”

Metamark UK has announced it intends to launch “inventive” and “disruptive” new products which will allow the company to enter new markets worldwide.

Recently the company has introduced a number of new materials which have been welcomed by wrappers, décor specialists, and the automative sector. The company has said it will continue to introduce products that benefit sign and graphic specialists.

It has also signposted the expansion of its MetaStream programme, which allows Metamark and its customers to recycle production and recovered waste materials that have been printed and laminated for retired vehicle liveries.

French concludes: “Metamark has demonstrated well-rounded technical and commercial capabilities and the attraction of its brand in all the markets and regions of the world where its products are available. Pressing our advantages at pace and scale will make Metamark a bigger and even more profitable company than it is today.”
