Keypoint Intelligence has revealed its first Global DTF Forecast Report

For the past couple of years, direct-to-film has been a rapidly growing area of the print industry with new launches and technology innovations not showing signs of slowing.

At FESPA 2024, the focus was on powderless DTF technologies with Brother demonstrating a prototype and Kornit Digital previewing a new DTF-like solution.

Ricoh also launched a new DTF machine, the Ricoh Pro D1600 which integrates a powder agitator and drying unit that removes bottlenecks.

Mimaki Europe made its first foray into DTF back in April 2023 with the launch of its TxF150-75 DTF inkjet printer. The manufacturer then went on to launch the TxF300-75 model, offering higher print speeds in February this year.

Back in September 2023, InkTec built on the success of its 600mm compact DTF printer earlier in the year, by launching a new UV DTF machine at The Print Show in the NEC, Birmingham.

Now, global data and market intelligence company for the digital imaging industry, Keypoint Intelligence, has revealed its 2022-2027 Global DTF Forecast: Navigating the Future of Direct-to-Film Technology.

This forecast is designed to reveal the projected growth and dynamics of the DTF industry and whilst the DTF industry has shown significant growth, it hasn’t been without its challenges.

The forecast will act as an essential guide for navigating the industry and offers a deep dive into the DTF market’s current state and future growth outlook.

Including expert analysis of DTF printers, inks, and technology platforms, the report provides a comprehensive view of hardware placements, installed base, print volume and value, and other metrics.

Johnny Shell, principal analyst for Keypoint Intelligence’s Textile & Apparel Printing Advisory Service, says: “In an industry as dynamic and fast-paced as direct-to-film printing, staying ahead requires not just insight, but foresight.

“The 2022-2027 Global DTF Forecast offers a detailed assessment of the DTF market. It goes beyond mere analysis; it seeks to equip our clients and stakeholders with the vision to anticipate change, embrace innovation, and make decisions that not only respond to the market as it is today but also shape it for tomorrow.”

The report is available to purchaser individually or through a subscription to Keypoint Intelligence’s advisory services which provide ongoing market information and timely insights.
