The company has delivered billboard advertising spaces in Philadelphia since 1977 and its clients include 20th Century Fox, CarSense, Mazda, and McDonald’s.

Registered through the National Day Archives, Keystone has declared June 1st as an annual National Billboard Day.

Speaking to the National Day Archives, the company states: “This day is being created to celebrate and honour the earliest form of advertising there is. Billboards are unique and reach millions of commuters daily.

“We see them everywhere we go and take in their information even subconsciously. With such an interesting back story and long history, billboards deserve this day.”

Keystone explains how the Egyptians used large stones in heavily trafficked areas to publish laws and treaties in the community. Since then, billboards have continued to develop and evolve but their purpose remains the same.

As well as celebrating the advertising platform, Keystone is encouraging businesses and industry professionals who use billboard advertising to share how the signage has helped using the hashtag #NationalBillboardDay.

Keystone operates across the Philadelphia Metro Market which includes the Tri-State area targeting Philadelphia suburbs, Trenton and Southern New Jersey, and Delaware. This includes all bridges, expressways, and key arterials.
