Novadura helps the Tube glow

Prima Dura Glow is a first of its kind, as it conforms to London Underground standards

Signage firm Novadura has announced the launch of a new product, Prima Dura Glow, which it describes as the ‘first photoluminescent product of its kind to meet the highly specific requirements of the London Underground’.

This involved establishing an air conditioned and ventilated room. The printer has two shutter-activated UV lamps that can cure in single, double, or post-process mode.

As the number of JETRIX printer installations increase across the country, so too is the reputation and build quality of these machines being recognised by this long established sector.”

Record-breaking wrap for Kaiser Chiefs video

Ecosse Signs used materials from 3M to wrap cars for the Kaiser Chiefs’ music video

Ecosse Signs has used 3M’s Scotchcal Graphic Film with Comply IJ170Cv3 in an exciting project involving the Kaiser Chiefs. It was five Civic Type R’s used in the music video for the Kaiser Chiefs’ song, Hole in my Soul, that were wrapped by Ecosse in record time to keep on schedule.

“The designs were approved quickly, and then we had to move fast,” says Tom Thomson of Ecosse Signs, adding: “We had less than five days for the cars to be delivered, wrapped, and returned to Knockhill for filming on the following Sunday night.

“We got a head start by printing as many kits as we could before the cars arrived. We pushed ourselves hard, and actually finished the last car on the Friday evening. That’s a super-fast turnaround to wrap five cars, which helped take some pressure off the band’s schedule.”

Knockhill Racing Circuit, where the video was filmed, even offered visitors the chance to drive the cars.

“We used Metamark MD5 to wrap the front entrance for KLM Airlines new promotional campaign and over laminated with the matching matt protection film,” explains James Mingay of Signs Express Norwich.
