Organisers of the debut FESPA Eurasia show claim to have enhanced the FESPA brand further after the recent event attracted almost 7,000 visitors in just three days.

FESPA Eurasia welcomed visitors from 98 countries, including the UK, Germany and Russia

The exhibition, which took place for the first time in Istanbul Turkey, welcomed 6,784 individual visitors between October 3rd and 5th.

A total of 98 countries were represented at the show, with major interest coming courtesy of Bulgaria, Iran, Russia, Greece, Pakistan and Ukraine, while organisers also recorded notable attendance from the UK and Germany.

“Our visitor statistics give a very clear picture of the high calibre of the visitor audience at FESPA Eurasia, which the FESPA brand is able to attract,” explains exhibition manager, Michael Ryan.

“For 73 percent of visitors their visit to FESPA Eurasia was their first time attending a FESPA exhibition, reinforcing our goal to reach new audiences, by taking the FESPA brand into developing markets.”

As a result of the successful first show, Ryan confirmed the second edition of the exhibition will take place at the CNR Expo in Istanbul next year, at the slightly later date of October 27th to 29th.

Ryan went on to say FESPA has identified the Turkish and the wider Eurasia industry as one that is willing to spend and grow.

“Indications are that the average budget for investment in wide-format printing equipment or materials in the next twelve months for visitors to the show was €225,550 Euros (£192,778), with 44% of visitors planning to invest within six months,” he explains.

“These are positive signals for FESPA, for Turkey, and for the wider Eurasia region.”
