Mimaki’s UCJV330 printer series and its LUS-170 and LUS-175 inks have been approved for the 3M MCS Warranty programme

Print press manufacturer, Mimaki, has announced that its wide-format UCJV330 UV-LED inkjet printer series and its UV-curable LUS-170 and LUS-175 inks have been approved for the 3M Matched Component System (MCS) Warranty programme.
3M’s MCS Warranty programme is designed to assure that graphics will perform as expected for their intended lifetime. This lifespan can extend up to 8 years depending on the specific ink and application.
The warranty pledges fixed coverage for a graphic including protection against fading, cracking, peeling, blistering, discolouration, and other aspects of graphic performance.
This warranty only applies for approved inks working in tandem with their intended machine type alongside approved 3M substrates, with the entire graphic-making process tested and certified as a ‘single unit.’
Unlike standard warranties that cover only individual materials, the 3M MCS Warranty covers the entire finished graphic. If any ‘matched’ part of the system fails such as the ink peeling or the film cracking, the entire graphic is covered for repair or replacement.
In a statement following the addition of the UCJV330 to the warranty programme, Mimaki says: “The addition of our product line to the 3M MCS Warranty programme further strengthens the cooperation between our companies.
“Customers can expect greater confidence in the quality of graphics production using the products and solutions offered by both companies. We look forward to further expanding this collaboration to help our customers grow their businesses around the world.”
Mimaki recently announced the launch of the UJ330H-160 hybrid UV press, the latest in the 330 Series, which is designed to bring the series’ image quality and productivity into a more versatile hybrid configuration.
The new press, which was developed in response to market demand across EMEA for flexible, investment-conscious production environments, will be showcased at the upcoming FESPA Global Print Expo in May.
