Nettl at Digiprint Bath and Chippenham has used Drytac’s Polar Frost Air to produce a set of window graphics for a shop in Bristol, highlighting its release liner and ‘bubble-free’ technology

Multi-service printing and signage business, Nettl at Digiprint Bath and Chippenham, has used Drytac’s recently released Polar Frost Air film to produce a set of window graphics for a new shop in Bristol.
Drytac announced the global launch of Polar Frost Air, a new translucent matte polymeric PVC film with an embossed pearl finish, in February. The film is the latest addition to Drytac’s Polar product range which includes matte white, blockout, and translucent options, among others.
For its latest project, Nettl Bath and Chippenham linked up with pasta workshop, Magari, which has opened a new location and was seeking a solution to cover the windows during store setup.
The job required an image that complemented the upscale location of the store and attracted the attention of passersby. Magari also required an installation that would remain in place for several months but could be easily removable once the shop opened for business.
Nettl, a long-time user of Drytac products, suggested working with Polar Frost Air, choosing it for features such as its two-sided PE coated release liner with ‘bubble-free’ technology designed for decorative glass applications.
The company produced the pieces in-house, using its HP Latex 800W to print the applications, and its Vivid VeloBlade Nexus to pre-cut the sheets down to size ready for installation.
Ben Gregory, director of Nettl at Digiprint, says: “We selected Polar Frost Air for the excellent ease of install, but also because it can be printed easily with our HP Latex printers. It was important that the view was obscured but still looked high quality with a classic feel.”
“The customer was impressed with the quality and speed that we could produce and install this branding project. They have already placed orders for new graphics once open, as well as both internal signs and graphics, as a result of this initial project.”
