Sign Trade Supplies has launched the Sign Industry Knowledge Base, an educational platform which collects articles and tips on a range of topics within signage

Sign Trade Supplies (STS) has launched a new educational resource for the signage industry, the Sign Industry Knowledge Base.
The Knowledge Base is designed to be the industry’s go-to resource for helpful information on signage. On the site, information is provided about the latest sign materials, design tips, and facts about the best tools to use for different jobs.
The resource, available to the industry via the STS website, gathers articles on a wide range of sign-related topics and will be consistently updated with new information and articles.
Topics covered include sign materials and components, design for signage and vehicle wraps, and manufacturing and fabrication techniques.
Also included in the resource will be installation and fixing solutions, industry regulations and compliance, sales strategies, and marketing tips.
Garrick Dartnell, head of marketing at STS, says: “We’ve built this Knowledge Base with the tradesmen and women we serve in mind.
“Our goal is to provide real value, not just product details, but also useful insights that make life a little easier. We’re hoping it’ll be a go-to spot when you need advice, whether you’re a seasoned pro or just getting started.”
Industry professionals have been encouraged to contact STS with any ideas for other topics they would like covered by filling out a survey on the company’s website.
Dartnell adds: “We’re just getting started with this, so keep an eye on the site for more content as we roll it out. Whether you’re looking for practical advice or tips on staying ahead in the industry, we’re here to help make it easier for you.”
Established in 1989 by Neville Spurgeon, STS supplies a range of materials for the signage industry with a particular focus on aluminium profiles, fixings, and components. It currently has more than 21,000 customers.
William Harris, the grandfather of Spurgeon, was a self-taught traditional signwriter, first finding employment painting farmers' hay wagons as early as 1938. Spurgeon first founded the company after identifying a market gap for brushes and specialised paints.
