Imagink, a provider of point-of-sale (POS), outdoor signage, as well as small-format print, has invested in an Agfa Jeti Tauro H3300 UHS high speed print engine following several years of growth within the business.

The company initially was established in 2009 in Aylesford as a print management company focusing on proofing and project managing print for a small group of clients. Since the business has grown its production capabilities, staff, and turnover.

In 2023 Imagink reported a “steady turnover” of £2.2m following the move to a 14,000sq ft premises in Maidstone, taking over from previous residents, Speedscreen.

The company now employs 18 people and services several clients with POS, window vinyls, and building hoardings. The latest addition to the company’s machinery has replaced its eight-year-old Durst printer.

Mike Saunders, owner of Imagink, says: "Our previous printer had served us well, but it was getting old, and we needed a machine with greater speed and capacity to meet the demands of our growing business and enable us to quote for work we had previously turned away.

"When we visited FESPA Global Print Expo in Amsterdam in 2024, Agfa was the first stand we encountered as we entered the hall. Initially, I wasn't considering Agfa for a replacement machine, but the Tauro model on display caught my attention, so we took a closer look. We arranged a demo and later visited an Agfa customer who was already using a Tauro in their operations. We felt it had a distinct advantage over other options in the market.”

The Agfa Jeti Tauro is a UV LED wide-format inkjet printer designed for both rigid and flexible media. Agfa says the machine is capable of supporting extreme workloads and multiple shifts, as well as being able to operate continuously 24/7.

Saunders adds: "We are currently on track for sales of £3.4m this year, which marks a significant increase compared to last year. With the Agfa Tauro, we have a machine that will help us achieve this growth now and in the future. The installation and training for this new printer went smoothly, and our production team appreciates the simplicity of both the machine and the Asanti RIP and Print software.”
