Signage company VMGS has purchased a JWEI JCUT-3230 digital cutting table from supplier CMYUK to manage increased workloads and reduce bottlenecks
Signage and point-of-sale (POS) solutions provider, VMGS Installations, has installed a JWEI JCUT-3230 digital cutting table from supplier CMYUK, in order to increase its production capacity.
The company, which is based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, reportedly installed the machine in response to the evolving demands of its customers, adding a further cutter to its arsenal to manage increased workloads and reduce bottlenecks and delays.
Designed for industrial printing environments, the JCUT-3230 includes features such as an automatic feeding conveyor and a 1800kW liquid cooled router.
It also features a range of tools designed to streamline production, including an auto tool changer, universal cutting tool, kiss cut tool, and crease wheel tool. Its modular cutting head accommodates up to three sets of tool combinations simultaneously.
The value for money of the machine was a key factor to the purchase according to Ken Mardon, co-founder of VMGS.
Speaking of the new JWEI cutter, Mardon comments: “The price-to-performance ratio of the JWEI JCUT-3230 is unmatched. It has all the features and functionality of a high-end cutting table, but at a fraction of the price.
“With our existing Kongsberg table, adding new tools like a creasing wheel means extra costs. With the JWEI, everything is included, providing outstanding value for money.”
The new JWEI JCUT-3230 has been integrated into VMGS’ daily operations alongside an existing Kongsberg X24 Edge cutting table. Its other finishing equipment also includes an Easymount laminator and Graphtec plotter.
VMGS’ print production equipment portfolio includes a range of Mimaki solutions including its UJV55-320 UV LED roll fed printer, UCJV300-160 UV LED roll- to-roll, JFX200-2513 EX flatbed, and JV100-160 solvent printer.
Mardon also highlights the work of CMYUK commercial director, Sue Hayward, who helped to select VMGS’ portfolio of solutions.

Training on the new digital cutter was carried out by CMYUK, with VMGS operator Tim Reeves and recently hired team member, Maria Bland, undergoing a three-day training session.
CMYUK first added its JWEI digital cutter range in September 2023. As well as the JCUT-3230, CMYUK sells models including the JWEI JCUT 1625, which it demonstrated at The Print Show 2024 alongside a Canon Colorado M5W UVgel LED printer.
