The printing company has also announced the release of its Live Production software, which was first announced at drupa 2024

HP has announced the launch of its HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series of wide-format printers, designed for long run print service providers.
The printer series, primarily designed for the signage and décor industries, delivers a broad range of potential applications including thin films, vinyl, and backlit textiles. The new printers reportedly have an up to 30% wider colour gamut than previous models.
The HP Latex FS50 is modular and scalable, with superwide-format printing in mind, and is able to be adapted and expanded to address growing business needs.
The machine can be upgraded to a ten-litre ink capacity, and it features user-replaceable printheads. The FS50 has reported print speeds of up to 89m² per hour.
Sustainability and environmental impact are also a key focus in HP’s new solutions. The machines offer water-based odourless prints with no hazardous air pollutants, designed to meet modern environmental certifications.
Announced alongside the FS50 and FS60 is HP’s Live Production software, a solution that allows print service providers to remotely manage their workflow. Users can use the software to control devices remotely and act on their printer queue in real time from a desktop or the newly-launched mobile app.
According to HP, its customers have emphasised the importance of remote-control capabilities, particularly in regions facing labour shortages.
The software was originally announced by HP at drupa 2024. During the international trade show, HP also announced a strategic multi-year global partnership with design platform Canva, connecting the company with print service providers across the globe.
UK signage company Ast Signs was among those which have praised the new software, saying that it "really appreciates the ability to move and structure the print queue remotely".
Speaking of the announcements, Oscar Vidal, global director of product and strategy, HP Large Format Print, says: "We understand the importance of scalability and growth for high volume and long run print service providers (PSPs).
“With the introduction of the HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series and the upcoming availability of the new features of Live Production software, we are expanding scalability to both hardware and software solutions.
“Our goal is to provide PSPs with the tools they need to achieve sustainable growth and thrive in an ever-changing market."
The HP Latex FS50 is available worldwide from today (November 5th), while the HP Latex FS60 is offered only in selected regions. HP have encouraged those interested in either machine to contact their local HP wide-format printing sales representative.
