FESPA’s long-standing awards programme will return in Berlin at FESPA Global Print Expo

FESPA, a global federation of associations for the print and display industries, has announced the return of its traditional FESPA Awards programme which takes place every year at FESPA Global Print Expo and co-locating European Sign Expo and Personalisation Experience.
The federation is welcoming submissions from speciality print providers and sign-makers to showcase their most impressive projects from the past year.
Graeme Richardson-Locke, head of association and technical lead at FESPA as well as one of the 2025 Awards judges, says: “Speaking on behalf of the judges, we all hope to be surprised by new levels of technical excellence and clear evidence that the entry has been created with the greatest care, reflecting the professional standards that we've seen over many years.
Richardson-Locke adds: “For entries this year, we’re interested in seeing the use of appropriate and sustainable materials, reflecting the wider industry’s goal of reducing its environmental impact.”
Categories include Display and POP on Paper and Board, Posters, Serigraphies and Fine Art, Wrapping, Printed Garments, Roll-to-Roll Printed Textiles, Non-Printed Signage, and more.
The Awards also feature the Young Star Award which is open to individuals aged 16 to 25 who are vocational trainees or students in digital or screen printing and design. To enter, applicants can submit work in any print-related category.
Richardson-Locke adds: “We see creative thinking and technical delivery to a standard which demonstrates that we have new talent coming up within the industry, a topic which is really important to FESPA and its associations. It's hard having to choose but for the winner, the accolade marks a significant achievement. We hold them to a high standard and don't make it easy to win!”
The People’s Choice Award is another highlight which will be open for voting from January 6th, 2025, with the FESPA online community casting their votes across all categories.
Voted by the panel of judges is the Best in Show Award and the Judges’ Award for Innovation which both recognise excellence within the industry.
Printers and sign-makers have until Wednesday, December 12th, 2024, to submit entries costing €100 for members and €150 for non-members (early bird discounts are available until 29 August 2024).
