Franchiser FASTSIGNS UK recently celebrated a year of success at its annual convention, which now in its 20th year, took place at St George’s Park in Burton-Upon-Trent.
FASTSIGNS franchisees and sales professionals took part in peer-to-peer learning sessions and workshops ahead of the awards ceremony in the evening.
The 29 awards were split into categories such as Franchisee of the Year, Project of the Year, Supplier of Year, Rising Star of the Year, and The Sales Achievement Award.
Mark Phelps managing director of FASTSIGNS Kingston was awarded the latter award for an outstanding 2023 sales record.
The Rising Star award went to Daniella Marcos-Pringle of FASTSIGNS Hammersmith who was cited for demonstrating ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking when growing significant accounts of all sizes within the business.
By unanimous decision, FASTSIGNS St Albans, headed by managing director Lee Simpson, was crowned Franchisee of the Year. Simpson attributed this achievement to the business’ customer service efforts, an increase in sales, and charitable activities in the community.
FASTSIGNS’ franchises have sought to keep increasing their charitable work as seen with a number of projects completed throughout this year.
One example is FASTSIGNS Manchester which recently completed a project for the UK military, Wings for Warriors, which gives wounded, injured, or sick veterans access to new careers and the chance to retrain as commercial pilots.
FASTSIGNS Manchester applied vinyl graphics to a pilot training plane used to help users gain their Private Pilot Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence, before completing the Instrument Flight Rules training.
At the awards ceremony, Metamark was announced as the Supplier of the Year while Tim Hayes of FASTSIGNS Northampton was revealed as the Employee of the Year for his positive, upbeat, and professional attitude.
“I can’t believe we’ve wrapped up yet another FASTSIGNS UK Convention,” said John Davies, managing director of FASTSIGNS UK.
“It’s been a real pleasure to see so many of our hard-working franchisees come together in one place to celebrate all the fantastic things they have achieved, across the network, in 2023.”
Discussing how 2023 has been for FASTSIGNS, Davies said: “It’s been another challenging year of business, particularly with the cost-of-living-crisis as a backdrop to our daily lives, adding extra importance to not only our customer service but those of our customers, who have been more reliant than ever on us to deliver design expertise, support, and value to their businesses.”
