Creative Retail Awards announces 2026 shortlist
The Creative Retail Awards has announced its Shortlist Guide, which outlines all the nominees of the upcoming awards, alongside a new venue for its 2026 edition
The exhibition acts as a hub for visual merchandising and display solutions for a range of sectors

Organisers of The Visual Merchandising and Display Awards and The Visual Merchandising and Display Show have had a busy two months in preparation for both events, the latter of which takes place this week between April 18th and 19th in London.
The VM & Display Show is an important event in the visual merchandising calendar as retailers, directors, store planners, procurement teams, and various businesses gather to see the latest products and services for the world of public and retail displays.
The 2022 exhibition was a long-awaited return for the show after the disruption caused by the pandemic. Many businesses exhibiting looked to build on the solutions and offerings that had been supplied between 2020 and 2022.
While the exhibition showcases a range of businesses outside of the usual signage-associated sectors, recent developments in retail and visual merchandising have seen far more collaborations with print and sign companies.
Speaking to SignLink at last year’s exhibition, Kieth Creed, managing director of Dynamic Display Designs, said: “Historically we’ve never done any retail show as we’ve worked directly with sign-makers and trade businesses.
“But now we’re finding the nuances and technicalities of the product mean we need to be far more involved with the designs and needs of the end-users. The idea of coming here is to speak directly to the marketplace and to the retailers.”
Dynamic Display Designs are listed to return to this year’s show, along with other returning companies like Antalis, KGK Genix, Service Graphics, and Simpson Group. Also exhibiting are well-known signage businesses like The Sign Group, FaberExposize UK, and Emerald House Associates.
The commitment to the VM & Display Show shows continuing growth in the retail and merchandising sector, especially within large cities.
Retail stores are going bigger and bolder with their designs and shop fittings leading to sustainable and adaptable solutions being incorporated such as wide-format print and eco-friendly products like paper-based boards.

The recent VM & Display Awards saw a range of nominated projects which used a variety of display solutions including graphics, mannequins, digital screens, and 3D objects.
Print and display company KGK Genix was nominated in several categories and won the best in-store branding/theme award as well as the best sustainable/eco-friendly products.
Awards were also won by the likes of Graphica Display, Universal Display, Stylo, and The Graphical Tree, some of which will be exhibiting at the VM & Display Show.
