Sister companies Dragon Signs and Route Media have acquired visual marketing specialist Colour Studios, in a deal that strengthens all brands.

Cardiff-based signage company, Dragon Signs, and sister company Route Media, which specialises in digital advertising and billboards, has made the purchase after a series of developments and expansions.

Recently Dragon Signs worked with the Football Association of Wales (FAW) as a signage partner ahead of the Qatar World Cup, as well as becoming a sponsor for the FAW’s Amateur Trophy.

The company has worked on projects in locations such as Mermaid Quay in Cardiff Bay, as well as with a variety of sporting teams and events throughout the UK.

Out-of-home (OOH) media owner and digital advertising supplier Route Media has also recently expanded its portfolio throughout Wales and showcased its portfolio of products, exhibitions, and events over the past twelve months.

The latest acquisition enhances the sustainable offerings of the company as Colour Studios specialise in eco-friendly products for the exhibition, event, and display sectors.

Colour Studios’ range of eco display walls and cardboard banner stands will complement the fabricated and digital signage offered by Dragon and Route Media.

Based in Radstock, Bath, Colour Studios has worked with the likes of Apetito, Wiltshire Farm Foods, and the University of Bath. This new acquisition means Colour Studios can pursue planned growth and grow its strong client base.

Rhys Harrington, managing director of Dragon Signs and Route Media, says: “It’s fantastic to have Colour Studios join our group of businesses. The company’s focus on eco-friendly products and the variety of technology it has developed is extremely exciting.

“As being sustainable in business becomes essential, we’re excited to work with the current team at Colour Studios to take its offering to a wider audience.”

Adam Carwardine, director of Colour Studios, adds: “This is a very exciting development for the Colour Studios team and our customers. By joining forces with Dragon Signs and Route Media we have added two very complementary full-service offerings for our clients including commercial signage and digital display solutions including digital content creation and content management.

“Being part of an expanded team will enable us to provide these new services and enhance our own service capability through access to more people, quicker product development, and investments in the latest technologies.”
